Kim Hansen is the CEO and Co-Founder of Cake Equity, leading the company's mission to make equity ownership simple and accessible for startups worldwide. With over 20 years of experience in product and technology, Kim has been building Cake from a Gold Coast startup to a global equity management platform serving companies across Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.

As a technical founder turned CEO, Kim brings a unique perspective on scaling B2B SaaS companies, combining deep product expertise with strategic leadership. Under his guidance, Cake has disrupted the traditional equity management space by offering transparent pricing, intuitive design, and features specifically tailored for modern startups, challenging established incumbents in the process.

Kim is passionate about empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs, with a personal vision to help 1 million founders succeed. His leadership philosophy centers on using technology as an enabler for innovation, building high-performing remote teams, and creating conscious, sustainable business practices. Originally from Denmark, via Portugal, Kim now spends his time between Australia and the US, given the US is a major focus market.
