A rooftop conversation on where big ideas turn into engineering
Cake, Voice Capital, and Pilot are back for a third year running an LA Tech Week rooftop gathering, this time turning the conversation toward space. The setting is Kassi, on top of Hotel Erwin in Venice, with the Pacific as a backdrop for a panel asking a simple question: is imagination still leading the technology, or has it started following?
The panel, "The Engineering of Imagination," brings together voices from venture capital, aerospace, and entertainment, including a perspective from NASA JPL, to trace how moon landings, Mars architecture, and orbital data centers grew out of the same books and films that shaped a generation of founders.
Expect a working crowd: builders in aerospace and deep tech, the investors backing them, and the storytellers whose fiction still sets the bar for what gets built next. After the panel wraps, the rooftop keeps going.
Part of #LATechWeek. RSVP is open, space is limited.
